We are seeking a proactive and organized configuration management analyst to administer, implement, refine, and tailor, as needed the configuration management plan for a technical government program. The Program is comprised of simultaneous rapid development projects, which requires a tailored approach to configuration management in order to balance aggressive developmental schedules with critical documentation to ensure technical rigor.Responsibilities: The applicant will perform, or assist in the performance of, duties to include the following tasks:- Implement, manage, and update a tailored, formal Configuration Management Plan for the Program- Coordinate with Program leadership, engineers, and scientists to analyze and interpret technical data packages for electrical, mechanical, and code design in order to determine and manage appropriate configuration changes- Administrate all aspects of a custom-developed configuration management database including data linkages, data tracking, and related documentation in order to maintain integrity and traceability of configurations throughout project life cycles- Control configuration of hardware and software from design through production and critical milestone reviews- Evaluate change documentation and develop impact assessments for planned configuration changes- Respond rapidly to urgent deadlines and priority updates- Track and maintain versioning, status, metrics, and reporting.
