The position will report to the Methods Manager and is based in Randjespark, Midrand.Job PurposeThe Project Configuration and Change Controller is responsible to ensure that the systems (processes, software, hardware and resources) necessary to establish effective data management on the project are identified, defined and implemented. To achieve this, the Project Configuration and Change Controller must consult with, guide and represent the Project team to ensure that systems meet actual requirements.Maintain configuration of all repaired and overhauled items for level 4 activity.Lead TSSSA configuration & change board.Ensure proper controls are applied to all TSSSA activities in terms of Configuration and Data Management principles (Identification, Status Accounting, Change Control and Verification). This includes Engineering Change Management, Correspondence Control, Milestone Deliverables, and Product Lifecycle Management.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain the configuration management database (CI's and Technical Configuration documentation) for all level 4 sub-systems (according to Industrial Make Strategy).Liaise with suppliers, MSA Eng, Ubunye & depots to obtain configuration of all products as manufactured and as maintained.Liaise with the team to ensure requirements are met and ensure the data integrity.Ensure clear configurations are up to date by baseline and respected.Ensure that the CR readiness and application dashboards are always up to date with actions closed on time.Represent the interface between TSSSA and MSA projects at configuration level.Ensure that all designed and manufactured configurations are shared and deployed in the TSSSA structure.Introduce all CR from MSA impacting TSSSA into CCB and ensure correct analysis and application into TSSSA systems, database and deliverables.Identify improvements in the system and provide recommendations.Implement project specific procedures.Assist the team and support the Project Resources in understanding the Configuration & Change Control function. Use Change Management process to control the project process for approval (or rejection) of changes impacting the project.Implement and maintain CM processes, procedures and instructions on the various Lifecycle Phases.Ensure CM Control deliverables and milestones are completed on time.Ensure that the CM discipline complies with the required ISO requirements.Ensure data integrity and compliance elements are met.Continue to improve systems and procedures in line with Industry best practices.Produce reports/dashboards on documentation/configuration status.Maintain a Centre of Excellence Capability Framework within the Project.Adhere to the REQUIRED industrial deliverable with respect to the OEM (in line with the IMFU).Considering and implementing the return of experience, EHS & Lean Manufacturing standards in all activities.Propose new or improved ways of working that will enable the industrial teams to improve their efficiency of the safety of work to perform.Undertake other duties as specified by the Methods Manager.Carry out such work in accordance with strict Health & Safety procedures as laid down by legislation and the Company Health & Safety policies.Attend regular Configuration Change Board meetings.Attend regular team briefings.Train new members of the team.Minimum RequirementsNational Diploma or Degree in Industrial Engineering.Know some tools like CMT, Impact analysis templates, and be IT literate (MS Office Packages, Digital Work Instructions).2 to 3 years' experience in industrialization and configuration experience is advantageous.Experience in working with an ERP (such as SAP) for Bill of Materials, Routings, Configuration follow-up.Working knowledge of Quality and Health & Safety standards and systems.Memberships & Associations: Configuration Management International Association (optional).Closing Date: 03 December 2024Should you not hear from us in 30 days, please consider your application as unsuccessful.
