Purpose: The Vice President, Human Resources will report to the Country Head (CEO) and to the VP, HR Business Partner, IB Human Resources, based in Toronto. He or she will be a key business partner and sounding board for the management team in Peru, positioning the area as a strategic function in the company's transformation and expansion and lead all cultural aspects of the organization. The person should be especially strong in spotting, attracting and developing talent and strengthening leadership competencies throughout the organization. The incumbent oversees the development and implementation of human resources policies, programs and services, including recruitment, selection, retention, legal compliance, employee compensation, employee benefits, employee relations, employment practices and procedures, employee communications and employee events.
Accountabilities:Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.Be a strategic advisor and provide HR expertise to the country's management team by developing the most creative and cost-effective ways of generating high-quality human capital in the marketplace by:Translating the strategic and business plans into HR strategic and operational plans.Developing long-term relationships with organizations/individuals that will enhance the talent pipeline flow within the country.Advising senior management to ensure compliance with all global and local laws related to employee benefits, compensation, employment, and training.Providing information related to the Bank's and Subsidiaries' Human Resources Management to the Senior Management in order to control the organization's Human Resources management.Participate in different local committees to guarantee the implementation of HR strategy such as Job Evaluation Committee, Complement Committee, Efficiency Committee, Diversity Committee, etc.Talent Management: Lead succession planning in the Country, as well as coordination of Key Talent/Trainee recruitment and development by:Providing advice and counsel to Senior Management in the recruitment, selection, assignment and placement of staff to meet the Bank's staffing objectives.Ensuring Leadership team manages Dynamic Talent Management processes covering key people, and development of robust action plans.Monitoring the effectiveness of the Performance Management System and providing coaching, advice and counsel to senior management.Learning: Contribute to both the short and long-term objectives of the Country by assessing and ensuring the adequate development and administration of Learning by:Directing the development/implementation of appropriate Training Programs that will satisfy staff training, management development, career development requirements and ensuring the update and ongoing review of these programs, as necessary.Monitoring the effectiveness of each program through effective communication and feedback channels with the Regional network.Personnel Administration / HR Planning and Systems: Maintain efficient operation and services of the Human Resource function by:Promoting and controlling the execution of the action plans of payroll and personnel administration in order to facilitate the delivery of different HR services to the different areas.Ensuring the effective administration of all personnel policies consistent with documented policy and local labour requirements, and providing advice and counsel to all staff as required.Ensuring the timely preparation of the annual HR Business Plan and monthly updates.
