Compressor Field Service Technician Industrial Equipment Electric and Disel-Driven Rotary Screw Air Compressors - East Rand
Reports To : Aftermarket Manager
Main Responsibilities / Functions of Job :
Your duties will include, but not be limited to:
Travel to customer job sites to troubleshoot and maintain industrial equipment, specifically electric and diesel driven rotary screw air compressors, various types of air dryers and other air system components
Perform diagnostics and determine causes for malfunctions on defective air compressor systems
Provide failure analysis and equipment/system recommendations to improve reliability and/or performance.
Consult with and advise customers on compressed air equipment needs, maintenance, and repairs
Technical assistance on equipment start-ups and installations
Read and comprehend operational manuals, electrical schematics, and parts breakdowns
Document service and installation activities by completing work orders for each job
Maintaining service vehicle with proper equipment, tools, and parts to promote efficient, factory approved methods for servicing equipment.
Other instructions and assignments that may be given at the discretion of the management
You will also be expected to:
Devote all your time and attention during normal business working hours.
At all times faithfully, promptly and punctually conduct and perform all your duties that conform to your position or such duties or functions that may be delegated or assigned to you on behalf of the Directors or your superior.
Generally, use your best endeavours to properly conduct, improve, extend, develop and protect the business and interest of the company, in order to preserve its reputation and goodwill.
Submit to the Directors or your immediate superior such information as may be required in connection with the business or affairs of the company.
You will be based in the Witfield (Gauteng) area.
The company remunerates based on Cost to Company (CTC), which enables you to structure your package to suit your own needs and circumstances, subject to any applicable tax and company laws.
Required Skills and Capabilities Previous work experience in the maintenance of air compressors, especially diesel driven portable unitsComputer literacyInterpersonal skills to work with customers and suppliers and to work as part of the teamThe ability to plan and prioritise work in accordance with business requirements.Salary offer: R30K R40K dependant on experience
