Job Description: Material Selection: Choosing the right composite materials for different parts of the yacht, ensuring they meet performance, weight, and safety standards.Production Management: Overseeing the production of composite parts, including hulls, decks, superstructures, and other components. Ensuring manufacturing techniques (like molding, lamination, and curing) are carried out properly.Team Supervision: Managing a team of engineers, technicians, and workers involved in the design, production, and assembly of composite parts. This includes training, scheduling, and coordinating tasks.Quality Control: Ensuring that all composite components meet the required quality standards, performing inspections, and addressing any defects or issues that arise during production.Research and Development: Innovating and improving the use of composite materials, working on new technologies, and collaborating with design and engineering teams to push the limits of what's possible in yacht construction.Cost and Efficiency Optimization: Working to improve production efficiency and reduce material waste, which is key in keeping costs down while maintaining high standards.Safety and Compliance: Ensuring that the use of composite materials complies with international safety regulations and certifications specific to the maritime industry.REQUIREMENTS Minimum 10 years' experience in a boatbuilding environmentMinimum 5 years managerial experience3 year degree / diploma or related qualificationsThe applicant is recommended to hold SA citizenship, permanent residency or another form of accepted work visa.The employer:
