Component Engineer

Design, develop, test, and introduce locally manufactured automotive components tailored to the Group Africa's market requirements while ensuring compliance with technical, safety, and environmental standards.Key ResponsibilitiesEngineering & Design: Adapt Group designs for local conditions; ensure safety, reliability, and innovation in products.Technical Support: Provide data and support for production, quality assurance, logistics, warranty, and discontinued models.Testing & Development: Specify, test, and release components; conduct design changes and cost-saving evaluations.Collaboration: Engage with suppliers and international teams during development and localization.Process Adherence: Follow the Product Emergence Process (PEP) manual and manage project timelines and reports.Problem-Solving: Use root cause analysis tools to implement corrective and preventive measures.QualificationsNational Diploma, BTech, BSc, or BEng in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering.ExperienceMinimum of 1 year in the automotive or a related engineering field.Skills & RequirementsKnowledge of vehicle systems (engine, drivetrain, air conditioning) and modern automotive production methods.Understanding of project management and basic financial principles.Strong communication, time management, and technical presentation skills.Proficiency in MS Office; German/Portuguese language skills advantageous.Code 08 drivers license.
