Compliance Specialist Team Leader - Legal Consultancy - Cape Town

Our client is a global management consultancy company specialising in Strategic Compliance, Legal and Risk Management, emphasising driving international expansion and business modelling for its clients.
Role Overview
As a Compliance Team Leader, you will oversee a team of compliance officers and ensure that the team follows our company standards and provides excellent consulting services to our clients. You will play a crucial role in maintaining a culture of excellence within the organisation and driving continuous improvement in our processes.
The Compliance Team Leader will work closely with the Chief Operation Officer and the Compliance Specialist team. 20-30% of time spent on Supporting the Compliance Specialist team on day-to-day activities. 70-80% spent in the role of a Compliance Officer
Compliance Officer Key Responsibilities
Manage and support our clients with compliance and legal requirements.Audit and Review of compliance processes including but not limited to credit risk management issues.Support on renewal of Global Insurance ProgrammeIdentifying Regulatory and Operational Risks and reporting it to the Management.Review of the engagement of contractors, 3rd party vendors and management/umbrella companiesAdvising on Risk Management issuesAssist in drafting policies to comply with compliance and regulatory requirementsSupporting regional compliance heads on the monitoring of business and regulatory riskReviewing compliance manuals and adherence to such manuals globallyPreparing and drafting Monthly Compliance & Risk Reports - Approval by ManagementReviewing and drafting non-standard Client Contracts (SOW and Master Agreements)Coordinate and work with Management on Monthly Compliance.
Qualifications & Experience
LLB and admitted attorney. Proven experience in compliance management, preferably in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices. 5 years of which 2 years must be in a managerial role
Package & Remuneration:R25,000 - R35,000 (depending on candidate and experience)
