Job Description Our client, one of South Africa's leading state-owned enterprises, is seeking to appoint a Senior Resource in Richards Bay, Kwazulu Natal from 09 January 2024 – 31 May 2025 to support their Finance Department with the identification and quantification of PFMA (Public Finance Management Act) violations within their Schedule 2 entities.

Key Responsibilities: Payment Verifications & Review: Conduct thorough verifications and reviews of all payments to identify PFMA violations, ensuring compliance with the PFMA and their SCM (Supply Chain Management) policies.
Remedial Plan Actions: Address outstanding actions as stipulated in the PFMA Remedial Plan, contributing to the timely resolution of compliance gaps.
PFMA Compliance Reporting: Assist with reporting and compliance obligations related to PFMA requirements.
Additional PFMA Duties: Perform any other duties as necessary to support the PFMA department's objectives and goals.
Requirements Registered with SAICA as a chartered accountant with experience in external audit, Auditor General of South Africa experience 5 years relevant experience in PFMA compliance evaluation for schedule 2 entities Benefits Working Hours: Normal hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:30 (inclusive of a 30-minute lunch break).
Extended hours, weekends, and public holidays may be required depending on project demands.
