About the job
Position Purpose:  To be responsible for ensuring that all regulatory compliance that is applicable to the business, are implemented and enforced and are in line with the controls established by the Risk and Compliance department in Compliance Manual. The incumbent will also be responsible for Identification and risk rating of applicable laws. Analyse and interpret regulation and legislation using riskbased approach. 
Experience & Qualification:  3 5 years' experience in corporate compliance,at least 3 5 years' experience within legal/ risk/ compliance environment. BCom/Law degree or Compliance Qualification, RE 5 or RE 1 qualification required and Eligible to be registered with FSCA. Strong working knowledge of regulatory universe within Corporate. Good working knowledge of GACP (added advantage)
Continuous improvement Assist with the development and maintenance of the compliance framework  Develop, facilitate, guide and monitor regulatory and compliance standards of control and assist with the integration and alignment of key business processes with company compliance initiatives Monitor and follow up on closure of compliance related findings, raised by assurance providers  Implement practical solutions that use the specialist and departmental systems and processes   Provide specialist input and recommendations to improve the efficiency, compliance and quality objectives related to the area of specialization   Identify problems and develop and propose solutions to present to appropriate leader or stakeholders   Ensure day to day operational support required from area of specialization is provided to enhance performance Cost containment  Support the identification, development and implementation of costeffective processes to increase efficiency and reduce cost drivers related to area of specialization   Continuously review cost / benefit and Return on Investment within area of specialization Knowledge management Identify and monitor legislative and regulatory requirements applicable to the Group Maintain compliance manual and SharePoint site Create compliance awareness and provide training and advisory services to employees, process owners and management as required  Ensure that adequate knowledge regarding specialization is shared as required and maintained within the research library   Provide advice and / or training as required   Maintain, develop and implement specialist knowledge within the daytoday operations of the organization. Generic Objectives Specific deliverables: Continuous improvement: Assist with the development and maintenance of the compliance framework Develop, facilitate, guide and monitor regulatory and compliance standards of control and assist with the integration and alignment of key business processes with company compliance initiatives Monitor and follow up on closure of compliance related findings, raised by assurance providers Specialist support to projects: Develop, facilitate compilation and review of compliance risk management plans on applicable regulatory requirements Conduct compliance monitoring through various means Compile internal and external compliance reports Develop and track action logs flowing from compliance audits Knowledge management: Identify and monitor legislative and regulatory requirements applicable to the Group Maintain compliance manual and SharePoint site Create compliance awareness and provide training and advisory services to employees, process owners and management as required Position Specific Outputs
