This role plays an integral part in our team, as you will be the custodian of Company compliance and help ensure risk is mitigated within the Financial Services Provider space.

A specialist with high attention to detail and the ability to ensure FAIS and FICA compliance is met. The position is suitable for someone who understands the Financial services industry as a whole, as well as the processes within an FSP environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to provide feedback and coaching where needed.
Key duties and responsibilities:
Implement and enforce the Business' compliance programmes.
Maintain awareness of regulatory framework and specific obligations within the FAIS Act.
Consult with Operational managers to ensure conformance with applicable laws and regulations.
Manage, oversee, and monitor FAIS compliance to ensure that representatives comply with all financial soundness requirements.
Perform statistical sampling and monitoring.
Maintain register of representatives and inform Registrar of any changes.
Control Anti-Money Laundering and FATCA regulations.
Analyse received documents and interact with the Office Manager.
Ensure compliance with ongoing statutory regulatory requirements.
Monitor and validate investor files, provide technical support, and update operational procedures.
Develop, initiate, maintain, and revise policies and procedures for regulatory compliance.
Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and develop corrective action plans.
Provide Compliance reports to Management.
Ensure effective risk management and internal control for area of responsibility.

Qualifications and Experience requirements:
Computer literate with knowledge of Excel, Word, and MS Suite.
Completed Senior Certificate (Matric).
Meeting the requirements to be registered as a Compliance Officer with the FSCA is advantageous.
3-6 years' experience as a Compliance Officer in the Financial Services Industry.
Thorough understanding of compliance risk management and regulatory requirements.
Registered with the FSCA, non-negotiable.
Degree in Compliance / Legal or a similar field.
Ability to communicate effectively in English and Afrikaans.
Ability to work long hours when required.

Pay: R35000,00 - R40000,00 per month
