Our client is seeking a Compliance Specialist in Cape Town responsible for supporting the delivery of gaming and betting product certification projects. This role involves working with both established African markets and new market entries. The Compliance Specialist will review the technical aspects of products related to certification, evaluate requirements, and provide technical compliance advice to ensure jurisdictional compliance.
Your key job responsibilities as the Compliance Specialist in Cape Town will include:
Coordinate, process, and monitor product certification projects for both established and newly regulated gaming and betting markets.Communicate efficiently and maintain strong relationships with gaming regulators, accredited testing laboratories, internal departments, external customers, and other stakeholders within the regulatory landscape.Ensure that all products meet regulatory requirements and are certified and approved according to jurisdictional standards.Maintain knowledge and assist in the analysis of gaming and betting technical compliance standards in established and newly regulated markets.Identify, improve, and document business processes to align with compliance requirements and increase efficiency.Assist in maintaining a library of technical standard documents and keep accurate, up-to-date records for product certifications.Develop project plans, track progress, prepare and maintain status reports, and manage expectations. Ensure that all work is delivered on time, within scope, and within budget where appropriate.Requirements for this Compliance Specialist job in Cape Town:
2+ years of experience in a technical/IT or similar role.Experience in gaming and betting compliance is advantageous.Applicable degree or diploma.Understanding of gaming and betting products.Strong knowledge of spreadsheets.Basic knowledge of project management.Customer-oriented mindset with the ability to relate professionally to external and internal clients.Experience working with distributed teams and peers.Knowledge of Confluence and Jira is advantageous.If you meet the above requirements for this Compliance Specialist job in Cape Town, we would like to hear from you!
