Compliance Officer

Job Title: Compliance OfficerJob Description: RPO Recruitment's client is seeking a highly skilled Compliance Officer to join their team in Durban. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our organization complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies. They will play a key role in implementing and maintaining compliance programs and initiatives to minimize risk and promote ethical practices within the company.Responsibilities:Develop and implement compliance policies, procedures, and standards in accordance with local laws and regulations.Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify areas of non-compliance and implement corrective actions.Provide guidance and training to employees on compliance-related matters.Monitor and enforce compliance with company policies and regulations.Investigate and address any compliance violations or issues.Liaise with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.Stay informed about changes in legislation and industry best practices related to compliance.Prepare and submit compliance reports to management and regulatory bodies.Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, or related field.Relevant 4-year qualification consisting of Legal and relevant Compliance Certificate.LLB plus certification as a Compliance Professional / CProf (SA) and Admitted Attorney.Member of the Compliance Institute of South Africa (CISA).At least 8 years' experience in a legal or banking role.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.Benefits:Salary: negotiable.Family Leave (Maternity, Paternity).Paid Time Off (PTO) (if applicable).Performance Bonus.Contact RPO Recruitment for your next career opportunity.You can also visit the RPO Recruitment website: rporecruitment.us or email us your CV: ****** will contact you telephonically in 3 days should you be suitable for this vacancy.
