The Compliance Officer in Cape Town is responsible for researching, identifying, and presenting the regulatory requirements related to gaming and betting across African markets.
This role ensures that all company activities align with current laws and regulations.
  Your key  job  responsibilities as the  Compliance Officer  in  Cape Town  will include: Research and identify regulatory requirements for the gaming industry in various African markets where our client operates or plans to expand.
Regularly review information sources to stay informed about regulatory changes affecting the gaming industry in Africa.
Analyze gaming legislation to assess the company's compliance with regulations and assist in reviewing gaming technical standards.
Maintain communication with regulatory authorities to confirm product approvals and compliance with jurisdictional requirements.
Develop and communicate compliance guidelines to keep other departments informed of regulatory requirements.
Conduct market analysis and contribute to preparing requirements for new license applications and the renewal of existing licenses.
Develop project plans, track progress, prepare and maintain status reports, and monitor milestones, deliverables, and dependencies.
Ensure all company operating policies and procedures are in compliance with regulatory standards.
Provide support and guidance to stakeholders regarding compliance-related inquiries.
Assist in creating and maintaining compliance documentation.
Support internal and external compliance audits.
Requirements: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a compliance-related role.
Experience in gaming and betting compliance is preferred.
Relevant degree or diploma.
Familiarity with gaming and betting products.
Advanced skills in spreadsheets.
Basic project management knowledge.
Customer-oriented with the ability to interact professionally with external and internal clients.
Experience working with distributed teams.
Familiarity with Confluence and Jira is advantageous.
