Are you someone who can: Work with stakeholders to design, implement and maintain an effective governance and reporting framework to ensure robust and high quality executive level governance standards and reporting.Provide consistently high standards of consolidated risk reporting to both internal and external stakeholders and committees, ensuring reports are accurate, complete, and delivered timely to enable senior decision making.Provide Subject Matter Expert guidance on FICA regulatory changes and oversee the implementation of action plans to align with upcoming regulatory requirements.Be accountable for effective risk reporting that enables the business to drive risk maturity.Analyse information and reports to identify trends, discrepancies, and inconsistencies for decision-making purposes.Identify, drive, and implement ideas, policies, procedures, standards, and frameworks to enhance the maturity of the financial crime program.Deploy integrated risk management, governance, and compliance frameworks throughout the area of responsibility.Support the Head of Compliance in ensuring that the Risk strategy aligns with and supports the business strategy.Complement the other specialist and deployed risk management functions through close partnership with management.Work closely with Group stakeholders (including Group Internal Audit and Monitoring Centre of Excellence) to support adherence to required Group governance and reporting, regulatory requirements.You will be an ideal candidate if you can: Display an in-depth understanding of PPS's processes and risks.Understand and balance risk-reward trade-offs for strategic outcomes and business-informed decisions.Engage with key stakeholders to determine risk posture for business.Initiate dialogue to build professional working relationships with all stakeholders, displaying excellent abilities to listen, advise, influence, negotiate, and present at all levels.Lead and facilitate difficult conflict situations into consensual agreements.Integrate opinions and information provided by various sources to make strategic decisions.Understand business tools, processes, and systems to provide required risk guidance.Establish mutually beneficial relationships with stakeholders that support thought leadership, innovative, and integrated practice solutions.Encourage high performance through clear performance measures.Retain talent by recognising and fairly rewarding performance and delivery.Take full responsibility for all aspects of sound people management, including recruitment, development, performance management, remuneration and rewards, career path planning, and on-the-job training, coaching & mentoring.Motivate, delegate, and empower direct reports appropriately.Work with the team to actively grow their skills and lead them in operational excellence.You will have access to: Opportunities to network and collaborate.A challenging working environment.Opportunities to innovate.We can be a match if you have: 3 – 5 years experience in Financial Services, preferably Banking, with 3 years in financial crime.A clear understanding of FICA and FATF requirements.ACAMs would be advantageous.2 - 3 years experience in Anti-Bribery and Corruption within a financial services provider.Experience in dealing with senior stakeholders across the bank and externally (Exco Members, FirstRand non-executives, Group Internal Audit, Regulators).Apply now if you are interested in taking the next step.
