Purpose:
The Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring that the company adheres to all legal, regulatory, and internal standards governing the logistics operations. This role involves implementing and maintaining compliance programs, conducting regular assessments, training staff, and liaising with regulatory bodies to mitigate risks associated with non-compliance.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in law, Finance, Business Administration, or Logistics/Transportation.
Professional certifications such as Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP), Financial Compliance Certification, or equivalent are advantageous.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a compliance role, with at least 2 years in a managerial or senior-level position.
Experience in dealing with logistics regulatory bodies and familiarity with local legal and compliance requirements.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with local and international regulations affecting the logistics industry, including transportation laws, customs regulations, import/export controls, and environmental policies. Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on the organization.
Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develop and implement corrective action plans.
Maintain and update the company's risk register in line with compliance requirements.
Collaborate with internal audit teams to conduct regular compliance audits.
Ensure proper documentation and implementation of all compliance-related activities.
Develop, update, and enforce company-wide compliance policies and procedures in line with logistics.
Ensure the company complies with Occupational Health and Safety regulations relevant to logistics and transportation.
Oversee internal monitoring systems to track compliance metrics.
Coordinate regulatory inspections and audits and ensure timely response to inquiries or findings.
Engage external stakeholders, including consultants and legal advisors, when necessary to address complex compliance issues.
Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management, highlighting any areas of non-compliance and corrective measures taken.
