Planstin is seeking a Compliance Director to direct Planstin's compliance programs, policies, reporting, and practices. They will ensure all activities follow regulatory requirements related to the governance of the organization as well as TPA specific or location laws. They will oversee the internal controls and auditing systems that monitor and report on regulated activities and processes. They will develop risk-based compliance testing of existing procedures and controls to identify, detect, and correct noncompliance. The Compliance Director reports to the President of Planstin and will oversee a Compliance team. This position is based in Planstin's offices in St. George, Utah.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to compliance throughout Planstin.
Monitor and ensure compliance with various regulations including HIPAA, ERISA, ACA, CAA, and COBRA.
Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify potential compliance risks and areas for improvement.
Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
Discuss emerging compliance issues to ensure that management and employees are informed about compliance reporting systems, policies, and practices.
Conduct or direct the internal investigation of compliance issues.
Collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance requirements are integrated into business processes.
File appropriate compliance reports with regulatory agencies.
Prepare management reports regarding compliance operations and progress.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and industry best practices.
Serve as a confidential point of contact for employees to communicate with management, seek clarification on issues or dilemmas, or report irregularities.
Required Experience and Skills:
7+ Years of compliance experience, preferably in Healthcare, Insurance, TPA, or similar industries.
Bachelor's degree in business, Law, or Compliance related field required. Advance degree is preferred.
Strong knowledge of Law and Government policies and regulations is required.
Demonstrate ability to communicate professionally and efficiently, with internal and external parties.
Proven ability to lead compliance initiatives and drive cultural change within an organization.
Certifications such as Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) are preferred.
Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience using web-based compliance software and Salesforce is preferred.
