PRIME PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Compliance and Quality Controller will be responsible for ensuring the company's policies and procedures comply with regulatory and ethical standards.
REPORTING
This position will report to the Packhouse Manager.
POSITION BASED
Tulima Packhouse, Hectorspruit, 1330
KEY RESULT AREAS Responsible for the implementation of all Food safety and Health & safety standards.Implement and maintain all standards (Export, DAFF, CRI, BRC, TESCO, FFF, GMP etc.
).Manage the scheduling of, and communication with BRC, SIZA, GMP, TESCO and FFF certification bodies to ensure continuous certifications.Ensure employees are properly inducted and key personnel are properly certified.Assist with external food safety audits and ethical audits.Report compliance breaches and exposures.Perform regular inspections and reviews to ensure employees adhere to quality and safety policies.Ensure all quality equipment are calibrated (scales, thermometer, etc.
).Ensure that fruits are packed according to customer specification.Ensure fruits are inspected, analysed, and tested.Ensure the accurate checking of faulty pallets which are included on the invoices and flag them accordingly.Assist in developing a plan of action to correct any identified deficiencies in quality control.Assist and manage the quality control team in their daily tasks and ensure that quality documentation and records are maintained.Any ad hoc duties assigned by Senior Management.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Grade 12 (Essential)Plant Production Diploma or any equivalent qualification (Advantageous)3 - 5 Years' experience in Quality and Compliance environmentPackhouse background (Advantageous)KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining composure.Ability to be assertive while at the same time maintaining a high level of respect.Ability to work extended hours when required.High attention to detail.Communicate in a professional manner with people at all levels.Good knowledge of legal requirements and procedures.Deadline driven.Innovative thinker.Professional, punctual and organized.Self-motivated and able to work independently.Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks efficiently.If you are interested in this position and comply with the requirements, please forward your CV to ****** by no later than Friday, 20 December 2024 @17h00.
