Job Summary As a Compliance and Legal Administrator you: Track and ensure company compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements and industry standards.
Track and implement robust compliance programs and practices.
Support with regard to the drafting and conclusion of legal agreements Requirements Regulatory Compliance and Audit Preparation Project manage adherence to Controls [which includes but is not limited to, ISO 27001:2022, POPIA and GDPR].
Working with different departments to ensure completion of the tasks required to adhere to the applicable Controls Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations Support compliance audits, including preparing documentation, tracking audit findings, and ensuring timely resolution of any issues.
Compliance Training and Awareness Coordinate and facilitate employee awareness initiatives and training.
Track and report on training provided and identify areas where additional training or guidance is required.
Risk Management and Mitigation Keep the risk register up to date.
Ensure that the appropriate risk mitigation and control processes are followed Prepare reports in this regard.
Policies Use the compliance tool for policy management; perform regular reviews and update all company policies.Coordinate and conduct the continuous development, implementation and updating of security, privacy and other policies.
Participate in improving company processes.
Reporting Management and board reports.
Requirements A university degree / diploma (LLB,Dip.Iuris, B.Iuris or B.Proc) 2 – 4 years experience in compliance administration Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, policies, and standards, such as ISO27001, Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and the Companies Act.
