Compliance AnalystJob Grade: C3Applications are invited for a Compliance Analyst. Reporting to the Compliance Manager, the primary purpose of this position is to manage and maintain the compliance framework and related policies, procedures, and processes.The successful candidate will support the Compliance Manager with the following elements in the compliance framework:Developing Compliance Risk Management Plans and assisting business in recommending controls to address control gaps.Conducting impact/gap analysis assessments for new and (amendments to) existing regulations.Conducting compliance monitoring and control testing.Documenting and maintaining the compliance universe.Reviewing and approving marketing materials and external communications in accordance with the current approval process.Identifying, assessing, and reporting of material compliance risks to key stakeholders as required.Assisting business in recommending controls to mitigate compliance risks.Promoting a compliance culture within the company.Providing compliance advisory services on an ad hoc basis to business.Reviewing policies from a compliance perspective and maintaining the company's policy approval framework.Keeping abreast of regulatory developments and communicating with business accordingly.Drafting compliance reports for review by the Compliance Manager.Providing input into to the combined assurance process.Regulatory engagements and regulatory submissions.Reviewing business conduct and governance practices.Managing the whistleblowing hotline and actioning of any reports received.Assisting the Compliance Manager with ensuring that the delegation of authority framework is up to date.Maintaining the Compliance Policy and Compliance Manual.Conducting training and awareness sessions on applicable Compliance obligations and developing training material.The compliance resource must have a law (LLB) degree and with a minimum of 3 to 5 years related compliance experience. Experience in developing compliance frameworks and performing compliance monitoring in a similar industry is a mandatory requirement of the position. The incumbent must be a member of the Compliance Institute. A diploma in Compliance Risk Management coupled with experience in the insurance industry will be an advantage. The incumbent should have obtained the C. Prac designation or in the process of obtaining same. The incumbent must exhibit honesty, integrity and display ethical behavior.We have offices regionally in Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg. The Head office is based in Rosebank, Johannesburg.
