Requirements:36 years of experience in secretarial, governance, or compliance rolesQualification in Compliance and POPIA advantageousKnowledge of corporate governance, regulatory frameworks, and risk managementStrong organizational and communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and online collaboration toolsAbility to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain attention to detailResponsibilities:Coordinate board and committee meetings, including scheduling, preparing agendas, compiling meeting packs, taking minutes, and managing follow-ups on action items.Oversee the AGM (Annual General Meeting) process, ensuring all requirements are met and activities run smoothly.Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards, including the Medical Schemes Act, POPIA, and corporate governance frameworks.Maintain accurate records, including board decisions, policies, trustee training logs, and compliance registers.Liaise with legal advisors to address regulatory, governance, and contract matters.Manage policy updates, version control, and ensure the proper documentation of changes.Facilitate onboarding and training for trustees and staff to meet governance and compliance standards.Act as Deputy Information Officer, handling data breaches, maintaining confidentiality, and ensuring adherence to POPIA and PAIA requirements.Monitor compliance risks, prepare compliance reports, and ensure timely regulatory filings.Support the CFO and Scheme executives in implementing governance and compliance strategies.
