Purpose of Position: Responsible for creating and implementing communication strategies to strengthen the organisation's mission, values, and goals. This includes developing engaging content and maintaining consistent communication and brand across various channels to support central marketing objectives.
Requirements: Degree (or NQF 7 equivalent) in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field. (Required) 5 years or more demonstrated experience as a strategic communications specialist, including proven skills in developing successful communication strategies and social media and networking expertise. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills. Familiarity with social media platforms. Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office, and related business and communication tools. Meticulous attention to detail. Outstanding organisational and planning abilities. Solid understanding of project management principles. Strategic and creative mindset. Understanding of digital marketing trends and tools. Key Responsibilities: Assist in planning, coordinating and executing campaigns, ensuring timely execution and measurement of campaign effectiveness. Assist the relevant executives in handling the internal/external communication response to crisis situations which affect organisational perception and reputation. Create compelling content for various marketing channels, including but not limited to website, social media, email campaigns, press releases, and advertising materials. Create informative and interesting press releases, press kits, newsletters and related materials. Design and implement communication plans to support the organisation's goals. Ensure consistency in brand messaging and visual identity across all communication platforms, including the website, social media, marketing collateral and presentations. Manage internal communication platforms (e.g. JustTheFacts & launching the CLA modules) and ensure content is relevant, timely and aligned with Ampath's values. Manage the organisation's social media platforms. Monitor media email and draft appropriate responses for approval. Plan, edit and write content for a variety of internal communication mediums.
