The Department of Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine is a hub of excellence and innovation, dedicated to providing outstanding clinical care and advancing medical education.
As Communications Officer, you will create a robust communications strategy to highlight our department's academic and research excellence and lead outreach initiatives to engage audiences.
Your responsibilities will include: Implementing communication plans and strategies that support outreach goals and objectivesConducting interviews with leaders, faculty, staff, and students for external publicationLiaising with the University's central communication office to pitch storiesDesigning surveys and other research tools for program evaluationImplementing a digital media plan and managing social media channelsCoordinating event logistics and post-event evaluationsEssential Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experienceMinimum four years of relevant communications experienceExperience implementing communications strategiesExperience developing outreach strategies and cultivating relationships with alumniProven experience writing concisely and meeting deadlinesExperience as a subject matter expert on content creation and brand identityIn-depth knowledge of managing social media channelsExperience tracking and reporting on metricsExperience conceptualizing and coordinating eventsAdvanced proficiency in MS Office Suite and Adobe Creative SuiteSuperb communications skillsAbility to identify good story opportunitiesProven design capabilitiesA self-starter with the ability to work independentlyCreative, resourceful, and solutions-orientedWillingness to develop and share technological expertiseTo be successful in this role you will be: ApproachableArticulateInsightfulOrganizedProactiveClosing Date: 01/30/2025, 11:59PM ET

with an annual step progression to a maximum of $96,196.
