They are looking for a Commodity Trader to join their team and contribute to their continued growth.Role Overview:Our client is seeking a highly motivated Commodity Trader to join their team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in sales, negotiation, business, finance, and agriculture. While previous experience in commodity trading is not required, a good cultural fit with the company is essential. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and expanding our client's trading activities, building strong relationships with suppliers and buyers, and optimizing the trading process to maximize profitability. Key Responsibilities:Identify and develop new trading opportunities in the fruit market.Negotiate contracts, prices, and terms with suppliers and buyers.Monitor market trends, prices, and other factors affecting the fruit industry.Manage the purchasing, sales, and logistics processes to ensure smooth transactions.Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the supply chain.Collaborate with the finance team to manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting.Analyse market data to inform trading strategies and decision-making.Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.Qualifications:Strong background in sales, negotiation, business, finance, or agriculture.A degree in Business, Agriculture, Finance, or a related field is preferred.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.A proactive approach and the ability to work independently.A keen interest in the fruit industry and a passion for agricultural commodities.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Location: Paarl, office based.Salary: R45 000-R50 000 CTC per month depending on experience.Position Type: Full time, permanent.
