The Agri Trader will be responsible for overseeing and managing the trade of agricultural commodities.Responsibilities and DutiesEstablish a profitable division/expansion within the Company.Compile an annual income budget detailing volumes, counterparties, margins, and indicative cash flow required to achieve the budget.Stay abreast of all developments influencing local and international market trends impacting your division.Negotiate, conclude, and execute transactions adhering to our trade mandate.Supervise and inspire support staff from a task perspective and take accountability for the effective execution of the entire transaction chain in your division.The position reports to the CEO.Suitable Candidate MUST HAVERelated qualifications (BSc Agri or International Trade or similar)Registered SAFEX Trader with SAIFMValid Driver's LicenseComputer literacy with advanced Excel skillsBetween 1 and 5 years of experience in agricultural commodity trading, specifically with one or more of the following products: wheat bran, maize, lucerne, beans, or oilseeds.Existing and established list of suppliers and customersDesired SkillsAnalytical Skills: Ability to analyze market data and trends to make informed trading decisions.Risk Management: Expertise in assessing and managing financial risk associated with commodity trading.Market Knowledge: In-depth understanding of commodity markets and the factors influencing commodity prices.Technical Skills: Proficiency in trading platforms and financial software.Desired ExperienceTrading Experience: Proven experience in trading commodities or financial derivatives.Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.Risk Management Experience: Hands-on experience developing and implementing risk management strategies.
