The Commissions Analyst plays a pivotal role in maintaining, developing, and implementing market-leading commission models, ensuring alignment with the organisation's growth and profit objectives. This role involves exploring data enhancements, owning model performance, and supporting innovative product development. The Commissions Analyst will also drive proper governance on commission models and provide crucial data-driven insights to support and advise the business.
The Commissions Analyst operates at the intersection of finance, analytics, and strategy within the organization. They are responsible for optimizing commission structures to incentivize sales and drive growth while ensuring accuracy and compliance. This role requires a deep understanding of financial modelling, data analysis, and business strategy.
Duties and Responsibilities (Include but are limited to): Maintain, update, and improve commission modelsIdentify and explore data sources and enhancements for commission modellingMonitor and evaluate model performance against actual experienceTake corrective actions to address weaknesses in commission modelsDevelop and implement commission strategies for new and existing businessCollaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve growth and profit objectivesSupport the development of new and innovative products through commission structuresImplement and maintain governance frameworks for commission modelsConduct regular audits and reviews of commission calculationsConduct regular commission model reviews and adjustmentsAnalyse market trends and competitor commission structuresOptimize commission payout structures for sales teamsProvide data-driven insights to guide decision-makingConduct ad-hoc analyses to address specific business questionsPrepare and present commission-related reports and findings to stakeholdersOptimise commission models to align with regulatory requirements.Recommend process improvements to enhance commission efficiencyDevelop and maintain documentation for commission policies and proceduresAssist in the design of compensation and incentive programsAnalyse sales data to identify opportunities for improvementEvaluate the impact of commission changes on sales team performanceMonitor and report on commission plan effectivenessEnsure timely and accurate commission payoutsConduct sensitivity analysis on commission modelsDevelop and deliver training on commission-related topicsStay updated on industry best practices and trends in commission structuresCollaborate with IT teams for data extraction and automationMaintain confidentiality of sensitive compensation informationMonitor compliance with commission-related policies and guidelinesParticipate in budgeting and forecasting processes related to commissionsAssist in the development of commission budget allocation strategiesRespond to inquiries and resolve commission-related issuesAssist in the implementation of commission software and toolsFoster a culture of data-driven decision-makingMaintain documentation of commission model methodologiesDrive continuous improvement in commission-related processes and methodologiesKey Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Statistics, Economics, Business, or related field.Certification in financial analysis or data analytics is a plus.Master of Business Administration (Desirable)3-5 years' Experience in financial analysis, commission modelling, or related rolesKnowledge of regulatory requirements related to compensation and commissionsExperience in a sales-driven industry is advantageousExperience in the financial services or insurance industry is advantageousDemonstrated ability to work with large datasets and complex modelsStrong proficiency in Excel spreadsheet and data analysis softwareAdditional Skills required: Data AnalysisModelling ExpertiseStrategic ThinkingGovernance and Risk ManagementCommunication and PresentationMarket AwarenessProblem SolvingProcess ImprovementAttention to DetailBudget ManagementInterpersonal and Networking SkillsAdvanced Excel skillsIf you do not receive any response after two weeks, please consider your application unsuccessful.
