Commis Chef

Our client is one of the most prestigious wineries in the world, and they are looking for a Commis Chef to join their team in Cape Town - Stellenbosch.
As a Commis Chef you will need to assist the Head Chef and other Senior Chefs.
Requirements: Culinary Certificate/Diploma;Preferably 1- 2 years previous experience as Commis Chef in 5-star restaurants;Availability to work within opening hours (e.g.
evenings, public holidays, weekends); Skills and Responsibilities: Assisting other chefs in the kitchenFollow recipes and standards to ensure consistency in preparation of all food itemsAssist with deliveriesDaily checks of mis-en-place to ensure quality and freshness standards are metProduct rotationMenu knowledgeOverall cleanliness and maintenance standards are followedProcedures and Standards in the kitchen are followedFood safety and sanitation policies are followedProfessionalismAttention to detailProductivity and effiencyAbility to work under pressure
