Job purpose: Prioritize satisfying guest needs and exceeding their expectations.
Assist the Head Chef in maintaining standards and efficient operations while controlling and guiding the staff on your shift.Duties & ResponsibilitiesDoes all the mise en place, preparation, cutting of meat, fish.Cooking and arranging of food as instructed.Co-ordinate activities to ensure an efficient and smooth food service.Controls cost by minimising spoilage waste and exercising portion control.Experience and skills:Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar positionCompetent knife skillsKnowledge of basic herbs, spices and ingredients and their useAble to ensure all prep is doneMust be able multitask and handle pressureInherent Requirements:Matric CertificateDiploma in professional cookery advantageousPlease send your motivational letter and CV to ******.
