Job Description: The Commercial and Supply Chain Manager for a mining technology manufacturing company will oversee the integration and optimization of commercial strategies and supply chain processes to drive business growth and operational efficiency.
This role involves leading sales project direction, negotiating with stakeholders, managing supplier and customer relationships, and implementing supply chain strategies.
The manager will also be responsible for enhancing sales performance, pursuing new business opportunities, and maintaining budget control.
The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of commercial dynamics and supply chain management within a manufacturing context, aiming to strengthen market position and profitability. Responsibilities: Developing the commercial strategy and the commercial direction of sales projectsNegotiating with customers, suppliers and manufacturersBuilding and managing relationships with customersConducting market researchMonitoring the progress of sales projectsCollaborate with the sales team, overseeing the sales performance and providing direction to the sales teamPursuing new business opportunitiesMonitoring budgeting expensesIdentifying and managing commercial risksPlan and implement the overall supply chain strategyCollaborate with Sales, Operations (Manufacturing Plant), and Customer Service teams Determine key supply chain KPIsSuggest solutions for process improvementsIdentify process bottleneck and implement solutions in a timely mannerTrain and evaluate othersProvide constructive feedbackWork with finance, sales, and manufacturing team to determine best vendors and distributorsBuild and maintain good relationships with vendors Requirements: Qualification and Skill Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Commercial Manager Previous working experience as a Supply Chain Manager for 8 yearsMinimum of a relevant degree (eg Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or similar)South African Nationals are encouraged to apply.
