Minimum Job Requirements:
Bachelors Degree (Business Admin/Operations Management) or B.Com (Finance). Minimum 5 to 7 years Plant Management experience within a Plant and equipment environment / Operations Management. Minimum 5 years Managerial experience. Experience in the Construction sector or specific industry, an advantage.
Thorough understanding of operations management and production scheduling to plan and forecast. Experience in benchmarking Plant processes against best practice. Exposure to CCS (Candy) and Buildsmart, an added advantage.

Ability to identify opportunities and present proposals for Management approval on rates/good deals for hire / market adjacent opportunities.
Leadership and management skills with a coaching and mentoring approach.
Adept at analysing data for decision-making, and forecasting revenues and expenses.
Ability to analyse problems and strategise for better solutions.
Excellent conflict-resolution and decision-making abilities.
Self-starter with the ability to operate with minimum supervision.
Proficiency in MS Office.
SHEQ understanding.
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and effective interpersonal skills, the key!
Duties and Responsibilities:
Report to the Financial Manager:
Manage Plant teams and ensure all Plant KPIs are met.
Manage the Plant maintenance budget and processes.
Ensure maintenance and repair operations of Plant and equipment.
Responsible for cost control of all Plant and spares.
Ensure maximum efficiency while meeting production goals set by Management teams or stakeholders.
Identify and resolve potential problems and points of friction between Plant and other teams (e.g. construction).
Provide correct information, estimate and analyse for overheads and labour cost and present alternatives.
Ensure Plant readiness for implementation of new business project.
Monitor performance against budget (expense controls, variances, etc.).
Evaluate resource usages such as manpower, equipment, stock levels, and maintenance versus cost-effectiveness to identify areas where savings can be made.
Identify opportunities to expand or shift course based on market changes/business requirements.
