Commercial Manager

Job Description
A large, leading Contractor is looking for a Commercial Manager to join their Civils Division.
Minimum Requirements:

BSc Honours Quantity Surveying
PrQS registration with SACQSP
15+ years' experience in the construction industry focusing on heavy concrete works including mining infrastructure, marine, reservoirs, power, industrial plants, petrochem plants
Highly conversant in FIDIC and NEC

Your key requirements will include:

All Senior QS functions as a start
Assist with all contractual/commercial documentation during tender/clarification stage.
Forms part of the tender handover team.
Manage items like cashflow, risk/opportunity, insurances on all our projects.
Sit in on all preplans - ensure all the relevant items are considered.
Move from site to site and ensure all contractual/commercial documentation is in place - on time.
Discuss strategy with director/project manager for claims/new rates etc.
Scrutinise cost reports every month before it gets included in management results.
Ensure all subbie/supplier documentation is in place.
Keep an eye on debtors/cashflow/production outputs/recons.
Check all site admin.
Prepared to work anywhere in Africa.
Mentor others.
Assist with VAT in countries outside SA.
