Sales and Services provided to established clients in the industry.Criteria•Financial Degree in Finance & Relevant Diploma/certification.•SAGE Evolution + MS Excel (Spreadsheets)•Pastel Evolution / Multi Currency and Job Costing modules.•Minimum 5 + years as a Financial Manager – Proven Leadership.•Retail, Import, Sales/Service Sector track record. Responsibilities: Financial •Assist the board of directors, as required, in the development of company policy. •Report monthly, quarterly, and annually ensuring timeous & meaningful production of financial results. •Provide Directors with meaningful management information. •Introduce and maintain cost awareness and effectiveness. Accounting •Institute effective control systems and monitor that they are maintained and complied with to maintain security over company assets, that all liabilities of the company have been properly brought to account, and all income and expenditure are properly recorded. Budgeting/Forecasting •Assist Director in the determination of budget parameters and provide guidelines with economic indicators.•Ensure that annual budgets are produced in sufficient detail to allow monthly comparison with actuals. •Produce quarterly profit forecasts with variance reporting against budget, in sufficient detail for meaningful interpretation.Treasury •Maintain a system of cash management for maximization of investment income and security of company funds. •Attend to the financial aspects of any business transactions involving foreign currency that may arise. Asset control •Ensure compliance with capital expenditure policies and procedures. •Enforce strict credit control. •Ensure the assets of the company are protected by adequate insurance and attend to the processing thereof.Legal•Ensure that the activities of the Group comply with the Memorandum and Articles of Association and the Companies Act Computerisation •Manage the development and operation of the company's computer systems. •Supervise the development and acquisition of new software. Liaison with statutory bodies/specialists Liaise where and when necessary, with •Auditors, attorneys, and consultants •Receiver of Revenue - Tax planning •Conduct internal audits of company operations, systems compliance, key resources, cost elements.
