Commercial Finance AnalystMidrand, South AfricaThis role reporting to the Senior Commercial Finance Manager, will be a Finance Business Partner to the South African Flavour commercial team, providing financial insights to drive improved decision-making and deliver business results through driving growth and profitability. Focus will be both strategic and tactical to achieve targeted near and long-term goals and objectives.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIESBusiness Partnering with commercial team to drive growth and profitabilityPrepare analysis and insights on the key drivers of financial performance for the South African Flavour business unitSupport the Senior Commercial Finance Manager in preparing and managing customer and product profitability analysis and reportingInterpret and analyse customer specific requests from the sales team and partner to develop financial P&Ls and analyticsBusiness partner to the Sales teams, providing insightful analysis to support decision makingFinancial reporting and analysisSupport Financial reporting and analysis for all customersDaily and weekly sales reportingSupport month-end processes, quarterly financial forecast, and budgetFinancial data maintenance - support new product code creation, maintain product mapping, create system inputs of key financials during forecast and budget cycles.Develop financial models through benchmarking and process analysisBusiness Planning and analysisAssist with the coordination and preparation of the long-term plan and annual budget process for the business.Process Improvement and special projectsWork to improve core commercial finance processes and reportingEnsure all processes are documented and Sarbanes Oxley compliantPrepare ad hoc commercial project viability studiesCANDIDATE PROFILEBCom in Accounting/Finance Relevant degree or equivalent Qualification4-5 years' experience in Finance roles with FMCG preferableHigh level of Advanced Excel skills required and preferably experience of TM1, SAP and PowerBiExperience in communicating effectively and building positive working relationships with commercial teamsStrong problem-solving skills and ability to analyse and interpret complex data to provide actionable insights to support decision makingStrong personal leadership, being able to work in a results-driven culture with big focus on executionDemonstrates initiative, accountability and adopts a perspective of continuous improvementStrong planning and organisational skills and ability to manage to deadlinesThorough understanding of business, processes, systems, and internal controls
