Cape Town, South Africa | Posted on 17/10/2024 The Commercial and Regulatory Analyst plays a crucial role in analysing market trends, regulatory requirements, and commercial strategies to ensure compliance and optimize business performance. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business decisions and regulatory compliance initiatives. Responsibilities Conduct thorough analysis of market trends, competitors, and customer behaviour to identify opportunities for growth and inform strategic planning. Monitor and analyse changes in relevant regulations and ensure the company's compliance with local, national, and international laws. Prepare compliance reports and documentation. Utilize quantitative and qualitative data to assess the impact of regulatory changes and commercial strategies. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for stakeholders. Work closely with legal, finance, and operations teams to develop and implement strategies that align with regulatory requirements and business objectives. Identify potential regulatory risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on business operations. Prepare regular reports for management on regulatory compliance status, market analysis findings, and recommendations for improvement. Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders, ensuring they are informed and engaged in decision-making processes. Requirements Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Management, Engineering, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a commercial or regulatory analyst role. Skills: Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and methodologies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences. Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks and compliance standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, or similar data visualization tools; familiarity with databases and statistical software is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying issues and developing solutions.
