Job category: FMCG, Retail, Wholesale and Supply ChainLocation: Western CapeContract: PermanentEE position: NoIntroductionTo support the Foodservices business in making informed decisions that drive profitability and growth by analysing financial data, market trends, and business performance metrics.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct value proposition is deliveredConduct in depth analysis and benchmarking to understand industry trends and competitor offerings.Responsible for the development of financial models, data analysis, and monitoring performance indicators.Profitable and competitive pricing strategies implementedConduct margin analysis to optimise product pricing and improve overall margin.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement pricing and promotional initiatives.Manage and coordinate annual price increases for both W Café and W Now Now.Innovative on-trend seasonal menus rolled-outPrepare post implementation reviews and document results compared to expectations.Commercially influence new menu item launches.Supporting decision-making processes by providing data-driven insights and recommendationsSupport budgeting and forecasting processes by providing accurate and insightful financial analysis.Conduct ad-hoc analysis as required to address specific business questions or challenges.Collaborate with department team to meet objectives to deliver operating planEnsure timeous execution of objectives.Verify the accuracy of costs by cross-referencing with recipe documents to ensure precise data alignment.Costing and assisting with pricing with the JV partners for cafes and coffee concepts as well as our corporate and event initiatives.Facilitating seamless menu execution to meet customer demandCoordinate with relevant categories to ensure timely availability of products in stores, facilitating seamless execution of menu items in all Food Services concepts.Minimum RequirementsFormal Qualification needed/bachelor's degree in accounting/finance/economics/mathematics or equivalentMinimum 8 years' relevant experience in the Food industry, Retail, FMCG Brand Management or Hospitality essentialCulinary courses would be advantageousMin 5 years' experience in analyticsExperience of working cross functionally or within a matrix organisationKnowledge of store operations, customer profiles, locations and competitorsMS suite proficiency with Advanced ExcelProficient in Data visualisation toolsShould be flexible to travelAnalytical skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills
