Commercial Accountant

Our client in the Manufacturing and FMCG industry located in Durban is in search of a Commercial Accountant to join their team.The Commercial Accountant monitors all financial data and prepares accurate statements for our company. Responsibilities include budgeting, managing tax payments and performing internal audits. You will act as a consultant for senior managers, conducting cost and revenue analyses.Responsibilities:Gather and monitor financial data (e.g. sales revenues and liabilities)Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual statements (balance sheets and income statements)Forecast costs and revenuesManage tax paymentsOrganize internal auditsPrepare budgets (for the entire company and by department)Monitor and report on accounting discrepanciesConduct detailed risk analyses to assess potential investmentsAnalyze financial trendsPerform month-end and year-end close processesRequirements:CA(SA)/ AGA(SA)Minimum 5 years experience in the Manufacturing industryMinimum 3 years of commercial experienceSage/ Xero experience essential
