Requirements:2+ years experience in pigment dispersions, paint technology, or coatings applications.Experienced colour matcher, with good working knowledge of Innovatint and largo matching systems and software.Familiar with all Microsoft office tools.Patient, careful and a team player.Demonstrated ability for problem solving and the capacity to handle several projects simultaneously are critical.Good written and verbal communication skills required.Direct colorant and/or paint formulation experience (desirable).Degree in chemistry or related science (desirable). Responsibilities and expectations but not limited to:Using proper laboratory techniques carries out a variety of assignments (e.g.
experiments, sample preparation, color eye - matching, process scale-ups, product pilot-runs, quality assurance tests).Technical support of customer complaints including investigation, analysis, root cause determination.Colour matching and database building use of Innovatint and largo matching system and software.Interprets results and draws conclusions from experiments conducted.Prepares data for inclusion in reports and may prepare preliminary drafts of recommendations.Store, retrieve and manipulate data using a variety of computer programs and databases.Communication and test result summary with team members.Apply, collect and arrange samples.Perform application testing to demonstrate properties of colorants for specific customer needs.Keep up to date with industry trends and regulatory issues and maintain high level of competence through patent literature, technical conferences, etc.Ensure compliance with all Environmental, Health and Safety policies and procedures, including but not limited to the compliance with ISO, Quality and Environmental Systems.Performs other requested duties as assigned by the Technology Team Leader.
