Job Description Supporting the Cold Chain monitoring and measuring processes. Share records, trends, and information with relevant stakeholders.
Key Performance Outputs Monitor cold chain for sea -, air - and road freight movements using various monitoring platforms and flag temperature events to operational teams.
Update and maintain temperature monitor details in the system.
Download temperature reports once shipments arrive and save to system files.
Order, replenish, and maintain system records for temperature monitor inventory.
Interact with vendors and service providers.
Interaction with Logistics Container loading locations Grower success Commercial Service providers Receivers and/or clients at destination Requirements Minimum Education/Qualification/Experience Senior certificate / grade 12 / matric Work experience in the fruit industry beneficial.
Involvement/exposure to Cold chain management beneficial.
Functional/Technical Computer literacy: MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Excellent Email etiquette ERP system experience Excellent communication skills; verbal and written.
Excellent planning, organisational, problem-solving skills.
Detail and results orientated with the end customer needs kept in consideration.
Needs to be able to work with minimal supervision.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
Ability to act with tact and discretion.
Ability to work outside normal business hours, as required.
Requirements Education/Qualification Suitable tertiary qualification.
Senior certificate / grade 12 / matric.
Course in Logistics (terminologies, etc).
Minimum 2 years of work experience in a Logistics role, relevant to the fruit industry.
Functional/Technical Computer literacy: MS Office, Excel, NetSuite Knowledge of Fruit Industry Individual growers' intake system and documentation knowledge Export systems knowledge (ie NetSuite) & ERP system Attention to detail Accuracy Patience Ability to work to deadlines whilst under pressure Ability to work as a member of a team Ability to work independently and take responsibility for own workload
