Location: Cape Town (this role can also be worked remotely)Salary: Basic + Highly competitive CommissionOverview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated trader to join our client in the Cape Town region. The ideal candidate will thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and benefit from an aggressive profit-sharing remuneration system in addition to a basic salary. The successful applicant will have a strong fundamental knowledge of the commodity market, a proven track record of profitability, and an established network within the industry. Education and Experience:Education:Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.Experience:Minimum of 5 years of experience in coal trading is essentialProven track record of managing profitable trading portfolios.Extensive network and well-established relationships within the commodity trading sector Key Responsibilities and Duties:Division Establishment and Expansion:Develop and manage a profitable division or expansion within the company.Drive business growth through strategic planning and execution.Budget Compilation:Create an annual income budget detailing expected volumes, counterparties, margins, and indicative cash flow necessary to meet budget targets.Monitor and adjust the budget as needed to align with market conditions and performance.Market Awareness:Stay updated on both local and international market trends affecting your division.Analyze and interpret market data to make informed trading decisions.Transaction Management:Negotiate, finalize, and execute transactions in accordance with the company's trade mandate.Ensure all transactions are profitable and compliant with industry standards and company policies.Demonstrated ability to self-manage and achieve financial targets.
