This position focuses on coordinating software releases, ensuring they are delivered on time, whilst meeting quality standards. The role will involve working closely with development teams, business stakeholders, and I&T support teams. Familiarity with Jira is essential, as it will be the primary tool used for tracking and managing release activities.Minimum requirementsDiploma/Degree in systems or business studies1 to 3 years experience in project management or software release managementFamiliarity with software development and release cyclesExperience using Jira for project or release managementBasic understanding of POS systems or retail operations is advantageousAbility to work effectively within a team environmentAbility to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneouslyCompetenciesProject Coordination: Ability to coordinate and manage tasks effectively to ensure successful software releasesCommunication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to keep all stakeholders informed and engagedTeam Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with development, business, and I&T teamsAdaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing release schedules and requirementsAttention to Detail: Ensuring all aspects of the release process are managed meticulouslyTechnical Proficiency: Familiarity with Jira and understanding of software release processesProblem-Solving: Ability to identify potential issues early and work with teams to resolve themStrong organisational and time management skillsResponsibilitiesCoordinate and manage the software release process for the POS solution, ensuring timely and successful releasesCollaborate with development teams to track progress and resolve any issues that may impact the release scheduleUse Jira to manage release activities, including task assignment, tracking, and reportingCommunicate with business stakeholders to ensure that release objectives are aligned with business needsWork closely with I&T support teams to ensure that releases are implemented smoothly, and any post-release issues are promptly addressedMaintain detailed documentation of the release process, including schedules, risks, and outcomesAssist in developing and refining release management processes and practicesMonitor and report on the status of releases, providing regular updates to managementEnsure that all releases comply with the organisation's quality and governance standardsSupport the post-release review process, helping to identify areas for improvement in future releasesClosing date: 3 October 2024If you like wild growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you'll enjoy your career with us!
