Job Overview:To effectively manage all CNC operations and manufacturing of screening media tooling and related components in line with production orders and resource requirements to meet all company cost, quality and output requirements.The job responsibilities:Manage all CNC operations and manufacturing processes of screening media tooling and related components, including CNC programming and maintenance of CNC equipment.Be actively involved with production schedules, CNC machine loading, and output to meet production deadlines.Ensure that all materials are available for jobs currently on the floor and plan material for new jobs.Perform quality checks on screening media tooling requirements and other related parts.Provide clear instructions to team members regarding deadline dates and allowable hours necessary to meet completion deadlines.Participate in making management decisions affecting work output.Ensure best maintenance practices are followed on CNC equipment and related machinery, reporting any unsafe or faulty equipment to the production manager.Coach and guide operators on job procedures.Communicate effectively with your production manager.Assist the production manager with day-to-day activities, resolving staff problems, and keeping employees motivated and efficient.Maintain discipline in the working area to avoid non-professional activities.Provide a positive "can do" approach to management, leading teams by example.Ensure the working area is clean, neat, and free of safety hazards.Ensure all staff abide by Health and Safety requirements, including the use of appropriate PPE.Ensure workers follow safe work practices and enforce health and safety regulations.Correct unsafe acts and conditions and conduct continuous risk assessments to ensure a safe workshop environment.Ensure only authorized, adequately trained operators operate the equipment.Operate within the health and safety requirements as prescribed by the Company and OHSAct.Qualifications & Experience Requirements:Grade 12 certificate or N3 Mechanical.Computer Aided Engineering Drawing Design.Supervisory or other relevant Training/courses.Minimum 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience in a similar field.Substantial experience with CNC toolmaking knowledge.Other Requirements & Competencies:Computer Literacy – Microsoft Office.Basic understanding of screening media products.Must be flexible and self-reliant.Sound judgement and problem-solving ability.Understanding the importance of time management.Listening and logic interpretation.Follow-through ability to complete tasks.Ability to work under pressure with accuracy.Strong technical understanding of how injection and casted parts are manufactured.Awareness of health and safety requirements.Ability to work independently and in a team.Good eye/hand coordination.This role will be based in Johannesburg, Crown Mines.What is in it for you?We offer an interesting role in an international business environment, extraordinary products, great colleagues, and opportunities for professional development.
