Job Description Required Qualifications & Experience: Extensive experience in progressive press tooling. Proficiency in progressive press tool manufacturing and maintenance. Competency in CNC Mill and CNC Turn operations. Familiarity with precision tooling and machining materials, including metals, alloys, plastics, and ceramics. Minimum of 8+ years' experience, post Apprenticeship on the job working in a similar capacity is required. Core Responsibilities: Crafting precision tools and components, such as jigs, molds, dies, and progression press tool assemblies. Designing and fabricating special guides and holding devices for use in the manufacturing process. Working with various materials to create high-quality tools and parts. Conducting regular inspections of tools and implementing necessary modifications and repairs. Ensuring the efficient operation of tools on the manufacturing line. Operating and maintaining CNC machines and other technical equipment. Assembling, fitting, and repairing tools according to engineering drawings. Utilizing a range of hand and machine tools, including lathes, presses, milling machines, and CNC machines. Proficiency in 2D and 3D computer-aided design and manufacturing software (CAD/CAM). Precisely measuring and inspecting parts and tools using instruments like micrometers, gauges, and calipers. Investigating and resolving machine breakdowns in the Toolroom. Conducting tool maintenance and generating detailed reports. Creating and interpreting engineering drawings. Fulfilling additional tooling-related tasks as directed by the line manager.
