Mission:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating both CNC mills and turning machines. You will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery to ensure high-quality production output. Your attention to detail, precision, and ability to troubleshoot will be key in this role.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Machine Setup and Operation:
Set up and operate CNC mills and turning machines according to specifications and production requirements.
Load raw materials into the machine and perform initial setup checks to ensure proper alignment and calibration.
Programming and Adjustment:
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD files to understand production requirements.
Input and modify CNC programs as needed to optimize production processes and achieve desired outcomes.
Quality Control:
Perform regular quality checks on finished products using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
Identify and correct any deviations from specifications to ensure high-quality production standards.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
Conduct routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the production process to minimize downtime.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of production output, machine settings, and maintenance activities.
Report any issues, defects, or discrepancies to the Production Supervisor/Manager promptly.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
Competences, Skills and Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience operating CNC mills and turning machines.
Programming experience and basic Hurco knowledge is advantageous.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to use precision measuring tools accurately.
Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of machine maintenance.
Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
Educational Qualifications:
High school certificate or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in machining or a related field preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry material.
Prolonged periods of standing and working with machinery.
Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
