Our client, who is a leader in the International Chemical Manufacturing industry, is looking for a Process Safety Engineer to join their team. As a Process Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for managing all process engineering, process safety management, and assigned capex projects for the manufacturing facility to ensure statutory, legal, and corporate compliance, ensuring products are manufactured to meet corporate and customer requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements:BSc Chemical Engineering5 to 10 years process safety experience in a high-paced chemical manufacturing environment (batch processing reaction chemistry environment)Must be conversant with the entire manufacturing plant structureStrong understanding of system safety and hazard identification and risk analysis process (HIRA)Risk assessment skillsGeneral problem solving using data analytics and root cause failure analysis techniquesKnowledge of DCS configurationAdvanced knowledge of related chemistries and chemical manufacturing technologiesAdvanced knowledge of engineering and engineering design principlesAdvanced project management skills and portfolio management principles with the ability to lead projectsStrong leadership and management skills and abilitiesAdvanced knowledge of manufacturing processes, process safety, policies, procedures, OHS Act, and other relevant legislation
