Main purpose of the job:The Pre-exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) for Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW) project requires the services of four (4) site/cluster manager who will be responsible for providing strategic project guidance, overseeing and managing the Wits RHI Project PrEP teams at designated project sitesSite-level program management, mentoring and coaching for both clinical and non-clinical staff, stakeholder engagement and relationship building (district, sub-district, community, and CBOs), clinical service delivery, administration, staff management, quality improvement, and skills transferLocation:Pretoria - TshwaneKey performance areas:Communicate, promote, and support the implementation of Project PrEP at the district, sub-district, and facility levelsProvide program implementation guidance and support to site-level team members to ensure delivery of program activities according to timelines and budgetsConstant consultation and planning with the District and Sub-District Stakeholder Engagement Manager and site-level teamsConduct regular meetings with site level team to ensure outputs are delivered and to review progress on the implementation planReview cluster implementation plans for effective implementation of the programIdentify the needs of the program at a site level and obtain the resources requiredCoordinate and troubleshoot all program-related activities including but not limited to the provision of all SRH services to clients when a nurse responsible is not availableOversee the rollout of the training plan including conducting Training of trainersThrough the District and Sub-District Stakeholder Engagement Manager, work closely with the capacity-building adviser/consultant to ensure that capacity-building activities are implanted in the districtMonitor the delivery and quality of training at all levelsParticipate in monitoring activities mandated by the training of DoH and support staffProvide ongoing coaching, mentoring, feedback, and support to the teamParticipate in ongoing mentorship programs initiated by other WRHI stakeholdersEvaluate the effectiveness of training by obtaining feedback from stakeholders and/or relevant assessmentsSupport the site-level team, ensuring that communication between the team is optimal and that program activities are coordinated and leveragedEnsure coordination across program streamsSupport activities that promote and advocate for adolescent and youth-friendly service (AYFS) or youth zones at health facility and community levelProvide SRH services including clinical services when the need arisesMaintain close communication with the M&E team to ensure adequate and regular reporting and documenting of lessons learned and success storiesDevelop and effectively manage relationships with relevant Wits RHI structuresContribute to the achievement of Wits RHI's corporate goals and objectivesDevelop and effectively manage relationships with external stakeholders including DBE, DOH, DSD, donors, and partners/as per the stakeholder engagement documentServe as a representative of the Project PrEP on external forums/working groups in the districtCoordinate program activities with external agencies such as public health, NGO partners, regulatory bodies, donor monitoring and auditing agencies, and others as necessarySupervise and manage line reporting (clinical mentor, operation coordinator, and training officer) in keeping with Wits RHI policies and proceduresAttend to all staffing requirements and administration at a district levelSupervise and manage the duties of supervisees to ensure optimal staff utilisation and maintenance of sound labour relationsPerform and facilitate performance assessmentsIdentify substandard performance by team members and take necessary corrective actionCoach and train subordinates and team members to ensure the acquisition of knowledge and skills required by the organisationPromote harmony, teamwork and sharing of informationProvide day-to-day support to all project staffTake ownership and accountability for tasks and demonstrates effective self-managementFollow through to ensure that quality and productivity standards of own work are consistently and accurately maintainedMaintain a positive attitude and respond openly to feedbackTake ownership for driving own career development by participating in on-going training and development activities such as forums, conferences, policy setting workshops, etc.Required minimum education and training:Relevant Nursing Degree with education qualificationCertified clinical (NIMART, APC/PC101, and HTS) mentorDispensing LicenseProven Facilitation skillsCertified AssessorValid SA driver's licenseUnderstanding of clinical researchRequired minimum work experience:10 and above years' of experience in Public Health and HIV Prevention and Management5 years' clinical training experience (HIV/TB/SRH)5 years of clinical mentoring experience and experience in assessing learners10 years of staff management experience5 years of strategic stakeholder engagement and relationship managementProfessional body registration:South African Nursing CouncilDesirable additional education, work experience, and personal abilities:Certification in HIV ManagementSound technical knowledge of HIV Prevention strategies, integration of health services, TB-HIV integration, Knowledge and understanding of national, provincial, and local health structuresAbility to interpret clinical guidelinesQualification or experience in training, mentoring, project management, and quality improvement methodologiesKnowledge of clinical systems and data managementUnderstanding of the challenges facing young people in the health contextPrevious experience in Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) services and other HIV prevention services, clinical research, and knowledge of clinical and data management and analysisKnowledge of national, provincial, and district health structuresExperience working with donor-funded programs and reporting requirementsReport writing skills.
