Main Purpose: The Cluster HSSE Coordinator will be responsible for the implementation of HSSE initiatives across a cluster of countries. This role involves developing and implementing HSSE policies, conducting audits, providing training, investigating incidents, and ensuring compliance with regulations and company standards. The Coordinator will collaborate with diverse stakeholders to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility while monitoring performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:KEY RESPONSIBILTIES Audits and reporting
To ensure management of Puma Energy Safety system (SAPS), ISO 14001, ISO 90001, Contractors Compliance, audit findings and related activities and to provide timely recommendations to business.Evaluating all HSEQ Terminals, Retail/Commercial/ Admin Offices/Transport & Logistics audits conducted.Serves as the HSSE technical advisor providing technical expertise and coaching as needed in all areas.Coordinate the implementation and utilization of site HEMP document for Hazard identification, risk assessment and ranking, control barriers and mitigation. Maintain data of all safety key performance indicators (KPIs). Keep these KPIs visible in the sites and lead key initiatives that continuously improve these metrics.To identify and monitor trends of all events on SAPS.To provide comprehensive statistical analysis of Terminals/ Retail/Commercial/Admin Offices/ Logistics and Transport activities within Puma Energy South Africa, including Lesotho and Swaziland.Management of compliance by all contractors with regard to work services provided under Terminals/ Retail/ Commercial/ Admin Offices/Transport and Logistics HSE Management System (SAPS) and other Puma Energy Group/Region HSEQ initiatives and requirements.To ensure that all events and non-conformance's are investigated and reported as required by legislation and advise on corrective and preventive actions and evaluate the effectiveness of the implementation.  To ensure all related licenses and permits are in place, valid and compliance managed by the responsible person as required by specific legislations and that all license requirements were met.Support the Site with Contractor Risk assessments on PTW, Take part in the Site MOC, PSSR, SOF and commissioning on maintenance and projectsParticipate in Site drills as per the ERP and assist the team to coordinate the drills with external stakeholdersWorks with third party risk control experts to ensure compliance with company standards on new projects. Supports audit efforts to maintain and improve favourable insurance ratings.•Actively participates with the Site Leadership Teams and effectively encourage the culture of safetyCoordinate the Personal safety and process safety review for sites.Advising and training
To guide and advise Puma Energy management on changes to legislation and impact on the organizationTo manage continuous improvement of the Puma Energy South Africa, including Lesotho and Swaziland HSEQ Management Systems (SAPS) and set up a safety culture within Contracted Transporters/Retail/ Commercial/Logistics/Admin Offices. Ensuring co-ordination of Terminals/ Retails/Commercial/Admin Offices/Transport and Logistic HSEQ activities between departments and subsidiaries.Provide HSEQ inputs for the Procurement and Transport Departments to access the standard of compliance of all transporters. To recommend, consult and verify competency/approval status of Retail/Commercial/Admin Offices/Transport/Logistics for requirements in consultation with purchasing.
People Management including Contractors
To ensure effective management of employees through continuous people management, staff development and coaching / mentoring to ensure a positive working environment that will attract and retain skilled manpower and increase productivity.To ensure effective management of employees through continuous people management, staff development and coaching / mentoring to ensure a positive working environment that will attract and retain skilled manpower and increase productivity.Co-ordination of activities/schedules, objectives and KPI's.Context and Environment
Managing the HSE of the Terminals, Retail sites, Commercial sites, Admin Offices, Transport and Logistics as well as contractors and transporters embracing the policy of no harm to people, no damage to the environment and no accidents. Risks: Safety, environment, health and hygiene.Culture: Moderate culture of Health and Safety requirements, specifically among contractors.Legal: Culture of self-regulation on legislation and compliance there too.Qualification Required
Tertiary qualification diploma/ Degree in Safety Management, Logistics Operations or Supply chain management Experience Required
2-4 years in HSE experience in the oil industry or comparable industry, Have a working knowledge and understanding of legal basics.Extensive knowledge of Product knowledge and Quality controls.Extensive experience in HSE Depot operation and Retails in a petrochemical, production or industrial environment.Ability to work with diverse teams including senior management and third party negotiations. Competencies:
