Security Planning: Plan and coordinate security logistics for events, travel, and daily routines, including securing venues, transportation, and accommodations. Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations, including medical emergencies, security breaches, or threats. Surveillance: Conduct surveillance and maintain situational awareness to detect and deter potential threats or risks. Communication: Communicate clearly and constantly with the client and the security team to ensure a coordinated response to security incidents. Firearms and Self-Defense: Must be trained in the use of weapons and self-defense techniques. Conflict Resolution: Handle conflicts and difficult situations professionally and diplomatically, emphasizing de-escalation. Client Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality regarding the client's personal and professional matters. Qualifications: Training: Completion of specialized training programs in close protection. Licensing: PSIRA Certification Physical Fitness CPOs should be physically fit and capable of responding to physical threats or emergencies. Firearms Training: CPOs should have firearms training and a valid concealed carry permit Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for interacting with the client and the public. Observational Skills: Strong situational awareness and the ability to quickly assess and respond to changing situations. Crisis Management: Knowledge and experience in crisis management and emergency response protocols. Cultural Sensitivity: Understanding of cultural norms and customs, especially if working with international clients. Background Check: CPOs will undergo thorough background checks and will need security clearance, as well as a clean criminal record Experience: Previous experience in law enforcement, military, or security-related roles
