Mediclinic is an international private healthcare services group, founded in South Africa in 1983, with divisions in Switzerland, Southern Africa (South Africa and Namibia) and the United Arab Emirates.The Group is focused on providing specialist-orientated, multidisciplinary services across the continuum of care in such a way that the Group will be regarded as the most respected and trusted provider of healthcare services by patients, medical practitioners, funders and regulators of healthcare in each of its markets.MAIN PURPOSE OF JOBTo maintain medical equipment, as well as provide technical support to users of medical equipment within the Hospital.KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREASProvide Technical Support for HospitalPerform requested technical jobs within the HospitalIdentify and control risk in the technical environment within the HospitalCoordinate/manage work done by on-site contractors within the HospitalPerform office administration duties within Technical DepartmentBuild and maintain stakeholder relations and client service within the Technical DepartmentRequired EducationESSENTIAL EDUCATION: National Diploma in Electrical Engineering: light current or clinical engineeringDESIRED EDUCATION: Diploma in Clinical EngineeringRequired ExperienceESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 1 year experiential training within Mediclinic OR 1 year Clinical Engineering experience within healthcare industryDESIRED EXPERIENCE: 3 years Clinical Engineering experience within healthcare industryRequired Job Skills And KnowledgeComputer literate (Microsoft Office)Financial principles (of cost benefit and investment analysis)Infection controlMediclinic Policies and Procedures (e.g. utilisation of test equipment)Occupational Health and Safety ActPlanned Maintenance procedures (Medical equipment and X-ray)SAP and Utilisation of SAP reports
