It houses multiple teams of experts in clinical, actuarial, and managerial roles all striving to gain the highest value for members who need care.Key PurposeDeveloping a vision, design (model, benefits, partners), delivery roadmap, and monitoring of selected healthcare delivery, Value-Based Care (VBC) and digital transformation initiatives aligned to the SRM and wider organisational strategy. Engagement with health providers, senior industry bodies and thought leaders with regard to care delivery transformation. Has the authority, accountability, and responsibility to manage specific healthcare delivery transformation initiatives to achieve specific objectives.Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to:Monitor key metrics reflecting healthcare spend and utilization experience and recommend risk mitigation strategies.Identify and develop creative care delivery shared value initiatives and drive implementation roadmap.Develop frameworks to track the effectiveness of initiatives.Coordinate activities with internal stakeholders to create documentation for external engagement.Evaluate and improve the effectiveness of clinical pathways.Engage with providers and senior industry bodies on clinical trends.Contribute to the efficient functioning of the healthcare delivery transformation unit.Work closely with various teams to ensure responsiveness.Personal Attributes and SkillsClear communication and argument expression.Performance monitoring against deadlines.Deciding and initiating action.Entrepreneurial and commercial thinking.Data analysis.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Persuasion and influencing.High standards for quality.Self-management and initiative.Capacity to plan and organise effectively.Integrity and ethical standards.Flexibility in handling multiple projects.Capacity for continuous improvement.Effective relationship-building skills.Education and ExperienceMedical related degree or other Bachelor's degree.Outstanding academic qualification.3 to 5 years' experience in the healthcare industry.At least 5 years' experience in a strategic role.Practical knowledge of value-based care methodologies.Understanding of care delivery processes.Strong commercial and analytical acumen.Collaborative work experience with analytical teams (advantageous).Up-to-date knowledge of the SA Private Healthcare environment.Experience managing high-performance teams.COMPUTER KNOWLEDGESkilled in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.Advantageous/Preferred Experience and Knowledge:MBA.At least 5 years' experience leading successful business initiatives.EMPLOYMENT EQUITYThe Company's approved Employment Equity Plan and Targets will be considered as part of the recruitment process.
