Package: GRADE 1: R 398.00 rate per hourEnquiries: Ms. C Barlow Tel No (012) 318 6400 #4165 or (012) 318 6718Requirements:Appropriate qualification that allows for registration with the HPCSA in the category Clinical Psychologist (Independent Practice).Current registration with the HPCSA as a Clinical Psychologist (Independent Practice).Confirmation of current compliance with the continuous professional development (CPD) requirements as stipulated by the HPCSA.The applicant must be in possession of a valid South African driver's license.Generic Knowledge: relevant ethics, laws, policies, guidelines and regulations as per Departmental and HPCSA standards.Knowledge of the health system and surrounding public/private systems, including referral networks and relevant local resources will be an added advantage.Profession specific knowledge: current psychometric evaluations, psychopathology, psychotherapy, neuropsychology, psychopharmology, developmental psychology, health psychology, community psychology, research methodology and statistics as well as professional practice.Profession Specific Skills: clinical interviewing skills, psychometric administration and interpretation skills, general formulation skills, diagnostic skills, psychological intervention skills, report writing skills, networking skills and research skills.Generic skills: language proficiency and problem solving.Self-organisation, including planning, time management and information utilisation.Ability to work independently, as well as in a team, including Multi-disciplinary Teams at a tertiary level.Promote effective workplace relations.Listening skills, effective communication and conflict management.Computer literacy, presentation and training skills.Duties:Provide effective and efficient psychological management to patients (including preventative, curative, rehabilitative and palliative psychological interventions).Provide psychological case formulations, which may include Mental Status Examination and mental health diagnoses.Conduct psychological assessments related to appropriate referral questions.Provide appropriate evidence-based psychology interventions related to case conceptualisations.Conduct mental health promotion and prevention activities.Provide mental health training to other professionals.Maintain effective record keeping, schedule management, compilation of statistics, mandatory reporting as well as clinical and periodic reports, in addition to other relevant administrative duties.Effective management of resources according to relevant policies and regulations.Notes:Medical surveillance will be conducted on the recommended applicants, at no cost.People with disabilities are encouraged to apply.Applications must be filled on a new amended Z83 form accompanied by a Curriculum Vitae (CV) only that highlights or states the requirements mentioned above and applicants must indicate the post reference number on their applications.Applicants must not submit copies/attachments/proof/certificates/ID/Driver license/qualifications on application.
