Mo te turanga - About the role This adult mental health role combines assessment and therapy for people experiencing moderate to severe psychological distress. The Clinical Psychologist is an integral and valued member of the multidisciplinary team responsible for the provision of patient-centred interventions.
You will provide a wide range of psychological services including risk assessment, diagnostics and testing, formulation and treatment planning, along with therapy. You will work closely with consumers, family/whanau and community groups in a supportive, educational and clinical role that is firmly based upon the mental health recovery principles.
You'll be part of a multidisciplinary team that ensures we provide our clients with assertive follow-up by maintaining contact with individuals through a key worker/case manager system. You will be a motivated individual, keen to make a difference and who thrives in a busy and diverse working environment. Excellent communication, time management and teamwork skills are essential, along with the ability to work well under pressure and in stressful situations.
To apply, you must be a Registered Clinical Psychologist with The NZ Psychologist's Board, hold a current practising certificate with a clinical scope, and possess a NZ driver's licence. Eligibility to live and work in NZ is also a requirement.
